First a bit about me. My name is Michael Morgan and I own this website as well as a few other websites.
Owning websites is basically a hobby for me, I got involved in these through my daughter who is a webdesigner. At times It can get pretty boring sitting in front of a computer trading when very little is happening or about to happen.
Mucking about with websites helps pass the time and to tell the truth I quite enjoy it.
I am a professional Stock Market Trader. I have been trading the markets for over 30 years. In my early years as a trader I was quite naive and the market was in the middle of a massive bull market period.
I was throwing money at stocks and they were going up, I was selling and reinvesting the money in other stocks and they also went up.
I thought I was very clever but in hindsight I could have thrown darts into a board full of stocks and bought the one it landed on and still made money.
The stock that made me the most money was actually one that my broker bought for me by mistake. I phoned through the order and he typed in the wrong code, consequently I owned a stock with a similar code and price to that which he bought.
It was three weeks before I found out what had happened, I went to sell the stock I thought I owned as it wasn't going anywhere. My broker told me I didn't own it. He went through my purchases and found the one that was bought by mistake, it was a Gold explorer that had made a very good find in Australia and I was $47,000 better off. I panicked and sold immediately. It continued to climb for the next two months.
After that I backed off the trading, I got married, bought my first home, my first child came along and on my wife's birthday in 1987 the marked crashed.
At the time I was cashed up and had very little money in stocks, not because I saw the crash coming but through blind luck. We were about to go on a holiday overseas for my wife's birthday and I had decided to close most of my trades and just relax.
Since then I have learnt a lot about the market, I take my profits and accept the losses which invariably come. I have probably tried every trading system out there over the years searching for the traders Holy Grail.
The market has been kind to me, I have a large home, put my three children through private colleges and universities and don't have to worry about my retirement.....not that I think about retiring, I love doing what I am doing.
